Roller sports are sports that involve the use of human powered devices / vehicles that roll either by gravity or through various pushing techniques. Typically, ball bearings and polyurethane wheels are used for momentum and traction respectively. It is attached to devices or vehicles that the individual is equipped with. It includes the following sports and disciplines: Inline skating, Roller-skating, Roller hockey, Aggressive skating, Speed skating, Freestyle skating and skateboarding. The two most common types of roller sports are inline skating and skateboarding with both being a common sight today in Singapore.

The in-line design allows for greater speed than roller skates and better maneuverability.
