By Kristel Oh

Time is of essence in this busy city & family time is becoming scarce. So why not kill two birds with one stone & keep fit while you bond with your family. Instead of taking your family to the movies or the mall, show them how fun life can be in the sun!

Here are 8 activities we've specially pick just for you & your families. PS: We hope you like it :)

Perched atop Imbiah Hill on Sentosa Island, Megazip features the most extreme zip wires in Asia. This is probably one of the few activities that takes you into a whole different world away from the bustling city albeit for only a few minutes, plus the kids would love it.

4) Escape the hot sun & take everyone Ice Skating @ The Rink

If you think the sun is too much to handle or your day's activity is being ruined thanks to the rain, head to Singapore's newest rink & spend the day skating around in circles with your family & laugh at everyone's very professional skating skills.

7) Head to Sentosa to ride the waves at WaveHouse

If cable-skiing is not your thing & you prefer riding the waves or if your kid lies between 107cm & 120cm (because the height requirement is lower and there's no minimum age), check out Wavehouse at Sentosa.  It's one of the only places you'll get to pretend your riding the real waves. Whether you are looking to ride like a pro (try the flowbarrel) or just to try something new and exciting (the flowrider), theres something for everyone!

If the kids still have too much energy in them after the session, you can always let them try another water sport. *Hints* Standup Paddle is pretty cool too!
